16 Jan Social Media Internship
We are looking for a bright go-getter with fresh ideas and a passion for social media marketing and graphic design. The intern chosen for this position will be responsible for the creation, management and execution of all social media marketing initiatives, including content, graphics, editorial calendars, monitoring and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of graphic design principles and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create high quality print/digital graphic elements for educational, trade show and promotional materials (i.e., brochures, presentations, social media graphics, and direct mail)
- Maintain the visual quality, consistency, and tone of all print and web material
- Illustrate design concepts by developing mock-ups, storyboards, or wireframes
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily posts (e.g., articles, graphics or videos) across various social media channels
- Effectively use social media channels to engage and build a relationship with media, BrainCheck’s existing community of followers, influencers and potential customers
- Support all planning and execution of social media campaigns and ongoing editorial calendar schedules for Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn
- Communicate and brainstorm with marketing and research teams to develop posts in support of our editorial content, upcoming campaigns and marketing initiatives
- Keep the team abreast of emerging social media trends and technology
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Experience:
- Proficient usage of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
- Demonstrated understanding of graphic design principles
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign
- Experience using social media management tools, such as Hootsuite, for social media listening, social media publishing or social media measurement preferred
- Knowledgeable in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Requirements:
- Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multitasking and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills (ability to understand and communicate complex ideas)
- A sophomore, junior or senior in college or a graduate student
- Must work on-site at BrainCheck’s main office located in the Texas Medical Center
- Must have reliable transportation
