Job Summary:

As the Senior Software Developer, you can expect to work independently performing full development lifecycle of highly complex medical device software in adherence with Quality System procedures and design controls. The Senior Software Developer is a subject matter expert in their field and acts as a mentor and technical resource for less experienced engineers. The Senior Software Developer is expected to interact effectively with engineers, management, QA/RA and Product Management throughout the product definition and development phases to insure delivery of their software meets customer requirements with high quality.

 

In this job, you will:

Ensure Adherence To Quality System:

  • Stay up-to-date and follow all Quality System procedures related to this job, which can affect the quality of products or services provided to our customers.
  • Adhere to established Quality System and design control procedures and practices
  • Complete Quality System Training on time

Participate in software development:

  • Analyze and review customer requirements
  • Write and review detailed software technical specifications
  • Participate in architecture definition, documentation and review
  • Create and update design documentation throughout lifecycle and review designs of others
  • Implement required software functionality meeting established requirements and specifications
  • Create and execute unit test plans and review the plans of others
  • Provide estimations to support project planning

Serve as a catalyst for continuous improvement of product and process:

  • Proactively provide recommendations on improvements to product and/or processes to increase development efficiency and improve quality
  • Travel: minimal, up to 10%

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or similar. Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience developing medical device software/or similar in a heavily regulated industry
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience software development experience in C#, .NET
  • Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Fluent with both Agile and Waterfall SDLCs
  • Experience with implementing, debugging, and troubleshooting TCP/IP communications
  • Experience with developing and debugging Windows Services
  • Experience with Perforce and JIRA
  • High proficiency with Visual C++, C#, Visual Basic, MFC, ASP.NET, ADO/ADO.NET, .NET, WPF, SQLServer
  • High proficiency with HTTP, HL7, UML
  • High proficiency using GitHub, Jenkins or similar
  • Experience with Test Automation tools for automated regression testing

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of IEC 62304, ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 highly desired
  • Experience developing SaaS applications highly desired
