
06 Feb Internship – Neuroscience Networks Administration
The internship involves training in project management related to the administration of research networks and graduate training in neuroscience.
Networks in neuroscience aim at maintaining and developing shared interests and exchange between scientists or organisations with shared goals. Currently, the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS) maintains several networks in the neurosciences. The trainee will primarily provide support for:
– NENS (Network of European Neuroscience Schools), a long-standing activity of the FENS Committee of Higher Education and Training (CHET). The network consists of a growing number of European university programmes that offer higher university degrees in neuroscience (MSc and PhD) and the training will involve practical support for the network administration.
– ENCODS (the European Neuroscience Conference by Doctoral Students).
Content
Specifically, the internship will include the following:
- Project management and grants administration
- Community/network management and communication (English)
- Database support and maintenance
- Web content management
- Conducting research and analysis
- General office procedures and teamwork
Profile and conditions
- Proficiency/Fluency in English
- Legally allowed to work in Belgium
- Good communication skills
- Basic experience in office work
- Able to work with the Microsoft office suite
- Able to work in a team but also independently
- Motivation for the project.
This contract is based on a Convention d’immersion professionnelle – CIP. Ideally, the intern should start the contract within March 2020 for a period of 6 months.
Remuneration: approx. 800 EUR net/month
