Customer-Centric Engineer

 

Description

As part of the Engineering organization, the Customer Centric Engineer will be an integral part of the effort to develop our next generation platform in our New York location. In this role, you will help ensure customer success by troubleshooting, debugging, and proposing fixes for the most complex customer issues escalated by Support. We are looking for team members with a customer-first mentality and the passion to leverage technology and software to solve problems.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams such as product, product marketing, and engineering to assure optimal support for our customers
  • Diagnose multi-system production issues by issuing initial response, data gathering, tracking, and resolution where possible
  • Design and build tooling to help expedite fixes for common customer issues
  • Contribute to internal documentation and troubleshooting guides
  • Communicate operational issues with users and/or key stakeholders (where needed)
  • Lead, Manage, and Research solutions to allow the business to properly scale
  • Be a valuable stakeholder within this newly created support team
  • Give valuable input for integrations of the pymetrics product

 

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Customer Engineering or Support experience
  • 2+ years within a previous SaaS business preferred
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
  • Experience Analyzing Data (Excel, Reporting Tools, Data Trends, System Logs, etc.)
  • Experience documenting product knowledge
  • Understanding of API functionality and how APIs interact with backend systems and data
  • Detail oriented with an ability to see the bigger picture
  • Knowledge of the Human Resources and/or Recruiting domains is a plus
  • Programming experience is a plus
