
08 Mar PostDoc – Visual Memory and Cognitive Aging
We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Post-doc to work on our project LOSTME (PTDC/PSI/ESP/30958/2017) with Dr. Moreno I. Coco (PI, University of East London) and Dr. Ana Raposo (CO-PI, University of Lisbon) for a period of 12 months (renewable to 13 months) paid 1600€ (one thousand six hundred euros) gross per month, according to the FCT pay scale https://www.fct.pt/apoios/bolsas/valores. Additional funding will be available for conference attendance and other research expenses.
The Post-doc will be integrated in the Research Center for Psychological Science, which enjoys several international collaborations and excellent research facilities (including EEG stations and eye-tracking).
The project aims to:
- uncover the role that attention (overt and covert) plays on the formation, maintenance and access of visual information in long-term memory within a cognitive aging perspective and,
- develop novel diagnostic tools and computational models to discriminate between healthy and pathological aging.
The admission criteria are:
- PhD degree in Experimental Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience, or related areas;
- proven experience with eye-tracking research (design, collection and analysis);
- certified proficiency in written and spoken English;
- proven experience in recruiting, collecting, analyzing data with older participants;
- at least one scientific publication in an international journal with IF;
- Evidence of presentations in international conferences in the areas of the call.
