BrainCo’s wearable devices detect the subtle electrical signals coming out of the brain in order to infer various cognitive states. With this data we’re building applications to improve outcomes in education, fitness, wellness, and research settings.
Role – Senior Product Manager
We are currently looking for an experienced Product Manager to work across our developing product lines. Our fully developed hardware will be a platform for you to lead new software product development. Our products tend to be category firsts, which provide us with unique challenges and significant potential upside. Our team is comprised of Harvard and MIT PhDs, machine learning scientists, and marketing specialists.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will help set the vision and strategy of our new products, define metrics for success, and guide our new products to market.
The ideal candidate has experience working across a company, implementing systems to manage the design, marketing, sales, and engineering aspects of new products. World class communication and project management skills are vital for success in this position. A dedication to finding and solving customers’ needs, love for the customer journey, and the ability to communicate the features necessary to create an engaging product are top requirements.

Responsibilities
- Meet with potential users externally and internally, understand their needs, and create user stories that identify and solve their problems
- Work collaboratively across teams to translate user needs into technical requirements
- Manage product requirements, making sure they are built with time, quality, and impact in mind
- Develop and own product roadmaps to make sure key product features are delivered on time
- Identify and commit to bringing key strategic initiatives to life that can provide new opportunities for sales and partnerships
- Present findings and prepare strategy recommendations for team members and executives
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant product management experience
- Proven success working in a startup or startup environment where you managed a product from conception to development to market entry
- Experience conducting user research (observation, interviews, focus groups, etc.) and deriving key customer insights
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and make trade-off decisions when time, product features and/or budget don’t align
- Testing proposed solutions cost-effectively to minimize risk while continuing to learn
- Experience with consumer level applications, preferably in the fitness or wellness sectors
- Experience in education is a plus
