Technical Project Manager

 

Are you a recent college graduate who wants to dive in and learn real-world skills at a fast-moving startup with opportunities for rapid career advancement? Brain Power is actively seeking a Technical Project Manager. You will be involved in all aspects of managing development, design and marketing project(s), and you should thrive in a fast-moving environment with a lot of tasks moving in parallel. Your daily work will include directing and tracking progress of each team member and action item via project-management software and personal meetings; reporting and summarizing to your supervisor and to the CEO; creatively finding ways to increase efficiency; and diving in and getting many tasks done.

 

The ideal candidate will have abundant energy, infectious optimism, a thirst for knowledge and the ability to quickly learn how to use digital cloud-based productivity tools on the job. Existing knowledge and experience with modern digital project-management tools such as JIRA is welcome but not required. You must be highly organized with a streamlined workstyle, and demonstrate the ability to take complex projects to completion. You will be doing work that really matters, and every feature you manage will directly affect how children and adults on the autism spectrum learn life-skills and climb toward self-sufficiency. You will have the opportunity to take training courses obtain certifications and attend events at company expense to bolster your skills. Salary Range: $50K to $90K total depending on seniority and location, plus benefits.

Location: This job is can be based in our Cambridge, MA (Kendall Square) office, or it can be remote-work compatible.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop highly visual digital charts of project milestones
  • Manage the process of ensuring the timely completion of deliverables
  • Schedule and facilitate project planning meetings in an efficient and constructive manner
  • Understand stakeholder needs and manage the creation of AR/VR content.
  • Work directly with our partners to get them to introduce Brain Power products into their practice.
  • Handle the reporting regarding partners, leads, and revenue.
  • Learn and help implement processes and reporting requirements for projects supported by federal grants.
  • Work on advertising campaigns to reach stakeholders.

 

Desired Background and Skills:

  • Passion!
  • Willingness and excitement to learn and to ask questions.
  • Experience with modern, cloud-based project-management software such as JIRA desirable but not required.
  • Experience with CRM and sales force automation tools such as HubSpot desirable but not required.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and team building skills, business judgment, and ability to direct the efforts of a technical staff.
  • Strong presentation and written/oral communication skills.
