Our clinical leaders are looking for a talented clinical manager responsible for the execution of the clinical activities for our innovative graphene neural interfaces and will act as the liaison between clinical partners and the R&D teams bridging the technical-to-clinical and vise-versa domains. The job could be based in Barcelona or UK and in the last case will be home based
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the overall initiation, coordination, implementation and management of our pre-clinical and clinical strategy including the execution of a multi-center clinical First in Human study from start-up to close out
- Build and maintain the project management plan regarding the clinical activities. Execute and track the clinical milestones
- Manage operational and technical aspects of clinical projects including budgeting, study initiation and risk management;
Anticipate potential issues and risks within the clinical program, create contingency plans and drive solution implementation; - Provide clinical input for specifications and product design/concept choices and support the development team with all relevant clinical matters;
- Assist in the identification of investigational sites and coordinate co-monitoring with CRAs when required;
- Willing to perform monitoring visits and/or identify and oversight CROs.
- Support the translating of user needs into development choices and priorities;
- Gather insights during critical (pre-)clinical studies and tests (e.g. usability testing);
- Fulfil the clinical-related aspects of the regulatory strategy (e.g. required documentation for regulatory submission, etc)
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Trained biomedical engineer, or scientist, with sound knowledge of neurology and understanding of engineering;
- + 5 Years managing pre-clinical trials and clinical studies in key medtech or/and pharma companies;
- Able to act as professional sparring partner to both technical teams and clinical experts;
- A high energy, self-motivated and pro-active individual able to work in the fast-moving environment of a dynamic start-up company;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of time (within EU, UK and few times US)
- Fluent in English
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Preferably experience in/intimate knowledge of Deep Brain Stimulation (or Neuromodulation in general)
- Proven track record of successful management of small and large clinical trials in the MedTech, Pharmaceutical Industry or CRO.
- Experience in management of CROs, vendors and consultants.
- Strong project management skills.
- Excellent budgeting, planning, and communication skills.
- Master or PhD degree;
- Other languages (Spanish, French, Dutch, German) would be appreciated.
