IMPACT OF AN AI PROGRAMMER AT TRU LUV:

At TRU LUV, we work together to bring life and depth to our AI companions, including #SelfCare and our secret projects. As an AI Programmer, you will research and implement the most nourishing and heartwarming experiences possible for our audience. Building on a solid foundation of AI research and algorithms and systems architecture, you will work with our team exploring the possibilities of our companions.

This role is an opportunity to become a subject matter expert in a new paradigm of emotionally conscious AI.

YOUR WORK DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE:

Exploring the future of human-computer interaction, team collaboration, and self-leadership are all part of a day at TRU LUV.

• Researching and developing algorithms that contribute to building robust, mindful AI companions
• Writing and maintaining scalable, performant code that can be built into multiple platforms
• Making key decisions on our AI architecture in partnership with our Technical Lead
• Exploring possibilities with our team of designers, artists and writers to implement and/or integrate their work into the app and iterate with them on their design
• Programming for Unity with C# in Visual Studio to bring life to our AI companions
• Supporting the evolution of a variety of systems and tools, building new features, and taking us deeper into the possibilities of our AI
• Peer mentoring

WHAT YOU BRING TO TRU LUV:

• A love for user-centred, mindful AI, and its creation and integration into our lives
• Experience building AI architecture and framework design such as FSMs, search, rule-based systems, and ML
• Broad experience and knowledge of algorithm and data structure concepts
• Dedication to high code quality, automated testing, and other best practices
• Demonstrable experience optimizing and evolving large codebases, preferably in C++ or C#
• A degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent independent study and/or work experience

WHAT WE’LL EXPLORE TOGETHER:

• Knowledge or experience in Unity
• Experience with Visual Studio, Git, Xcode, iOS, Android
• A knowledge of self-care practices including those inspired by contemporary witchcraft
• A knowledge of tend-and-befriend and other psychological frameworks for companion design
