We are devoted to the development of life changing neuromodulation therapies for patients with chronic diseases. Our team works hard to develop miniaturized and personalised implantable bioelectronic devices, tailored for small autonomic nerves in the viscera. Degree Requirement:
- Must be enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s or PhD program in the field of bioinformatics or data science with knowledge of genomics.
Skill requirements:
Preferred:
- Experience in the analysis of large multivariate genomic data such as RNASeq, proteomics or metabolomics.
- Experience in the use of command line bioinformatics tools in Unix and Linux environments.
- Experience programming and scripting in a common language such as Python, Perl or R.
- Experience in integrating different forms of biological data and developing mechanistic hypotheses from data analyses.
- Basic understanding of molecular and cellular biology.
Work permit:
Valid work permit for the UK during the internship period is required (international students in UK might be eligible through Tier 4 Student VISA, please verify with student.gsklink@gsk.com)
Location: GlaxoSmithKline, Gunnels Wood Road, Stevenage, Hertfordshire, SG1 2NY.
Duration of placement: 6 to 12 months
