We have generated large volumes of high dimensional data and are currently generating them at an exponentially increasing rate. We need your help to sift through,organize and analyze our data sets to extract insight. You will be required to:

• Contribute to building the infrastructure required to analyze, store and organize data generated from wetlab equipment in the cloud, in a secure and globally accessible manner.
• Collect and consolidate existing data sets of protein-ligand interactions.
• Guide experimental biologists into producing proper training and testing datasets to benchmark protein-ligand interaction prediction algorithms .
• Developing and designing novel analysis tools for data generated from custom experimental workflows. Work with the software team to make these tools usable and accessible.
• Contribute to defining and establishing experimental protocols to facilitate result analysis.
• Deliver statistically valid data interpretation to internal and external parties.

Qualifications and skills

• M.Sc. or PhD in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a relevant field.
• Deep understanding of statistical methods for data analysis, data reduction, data classification, etc…
• You have extensive experience in machine learning, such as deep neural networks, Bayesian neural nets, LSTM. Experience with Tensorflow, PyTorch or other tools will be an asset.
• Familiarity with data generated in the life science sector and associated analysis standards, normalization techniques.
• Demonstrable experience in applying computational and statistical methods to analyse data e.g. multivariate analysis and machine learning approaches.
• Demonstrable proficiency in working with large datasets and a solid competence with SQL, Python and/or R
• Experience in working with heterogeneous or incomplete data sets. You are keen to lead and mentor junior research associates and analysts with clarity.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly using data – i.e. a strong ability to tell effective and compelling stories with data.
• You are a noted creative and critical thinker. An effective team player with excellent oral communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• You have a can do attitude.
