Location: California (Bay area);

Education: B.S. or M.S. in engineering or material science with a focus in mechanical engineering  

 

 

You will help the team develop and test implantable biomedical devices made from thin-film electrode array technologies.  You will work closely with the Director of Electrode Development and technology team to design and manufacture  devices used to interface with the brain and spinal cord. 

 

Interfacing with vendors to manufacture devices. This includes keeping vendor progress on schedule and evaluating quality of the product; Design layouts for new product configurations and manufacturing processes; Assisting in the evaluation of new vendors, processes, and materials; Assisting or leading testing (e.g., mechanical, electrical) modules and device evaluation; Communicating progress of product manufacturing with the internal team

 

Engineering or material science background with a lean toward mechanical engineering; Some hands-on MEMS microfabrication experience; Designing MEMS masks or experience in PCB layout; Mechanical design
