Pre-/Postdoctoral positions in Visual learning and attention guidance in patients with macular degeneration

Applications are invited for a pre/postdoctoral researcher in the  DFG-funded project “Visual learning and attention guidance in patients  with macular degeneration”.

Foveal vision loss leads to insufficient exploration of the environment  with eye movements. Based on previous work (e.g. Geringswald & Pollmann,  JEP:LMC 2015) we intend to optimize training paradigms for the  exploration of visual search displays with gaze-contingent scotoma  simulation as well as with macular degeneration patients.

Applicants for a postdoc position should have experience with the coding  and analysis of eye tracking data. Magdeburg is a lively university town  with a beautiful historical centre around the river Elbe and with  convenient transport links to Leipzig and Berlin.
