Summary of Role
We are seeking an EEG technician to join our team in executing clinical trials on a consultant or contract basis. This person will conduct Clinical Research EEGs and assist with medical device fitting and field support with research subjects. Using Cognito equipment, you will travel to the clinical sites, set up the equipment and run EEGs on clinical study participants. Comfortable with interacting with elder adult clinical research subjects and their families/care givers, you would also be training them on device use and helping them adjust to self-administering therapy. The ideal candidate would have formal training and experience in conduct of EEG’s, including familiarity with technical quality standards, minimizing impedance measures and evaluating electromagnetic interference. You will work closely with the Cambridge team to follow the study-specific EEG procedures and provide feedback on potential systematic and quality improvements based on your experience and training. Flexibility in schedule to meet with clinical site needs would be essential successful fulfillment of this role. Familiarity with MATLAB and AntNeuro are an added beneficial skillset.
Deliverables
You will be responsible for:
- Setting up, maximizing quality and running EEGs following study procedures in clinical site clinics (Newark, NJ; West Palm Beach, FL; Boston, MA)
- Uploading EEG data for central processing
- Contributing to data analysis
- Training subjects and their families/care partners in use of our medical device
- Following-up with subjects and their care partners to support accurate device use
- Liaising with clinical sites and colleagues in the Cambridge, MA office to support the conduct of clinical research
- Reporting encounters with subjects and responding appropriately to any urgent concerns raised

Minimal Qualifications
- B.A./B.S. with 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Formal EEG training
- Experience working directly with patients and families, preferable elder adults
- Availability to travel
- Good communication skills; team player
