Software Development Kit Engineer – San Jose, US
NeuroSky is a leading wearable sensor technology company. Our award-wining hardware enables the monitoring of EEG, ECG and other bio-signals in a very user-friendly way, and our advanced data processing and analysis solutions are empowering numerous exciting applications. We are looking for a SDK engineer that is able to keep up with the latest trends in app development and explore the undocumented details of OS APIs and runtime environments. Your code will be delivering a world-class algorithm for the consumer mass market on millions of devices inside of application you don’t control. You’ll need to have creativity and gumption along with a natural curiosity for how software works. We expect you to be proud to ship great features while taking reliability, software craftsmanship, and developer experience seriously.
Primary job responsibilities involve a wide range of tasks, including (but not limited to): software/SDKs/APIs/protocols development and maintenance, documentation, creating reference designs and prototypes, debugging, support, research, and algorithm development. The role will often be required to work closely with others, including Sales, Marketing, Engineering, customers, and partners. The role will be expected to document its work and create records, including development records, documentation, release records, and SOP.
- Development and release of products (SW apps, SDKs, bundles, reference designs, and libraries).
- Support of other customers/companies to develop and release their product(s).
- Generation of documentation artifacts (SOPs, version control, changelogs, user manuals, FAQs, etc)
- Demonstrated proficiency with software development tools and techniques.
- At least 1 years working experience in software development, maintenance, design, or related experience.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or a Hardware- or Software-related Engineering major
- Bonus points for expertise in Objective-C, Android-flavored Java, JNI/NDK, other mobile platforms, concurrency, networking, power management, shipped mobile apps, and mobile SDK experience.
