Vision Rehabilitation Specialist
Brief Summary of key job aspects
Define and organize the rehabilitation strategy and process for Pixium Visions bionic vision systems. Support clinical trial preparation, execution, and analysis. Liaison between clinics and company.
Responsibilities
- Define visual rehabilitation strategy and process for Pixium’s bionic vision systems
- Train clinical sites on bionic vision rehabilitation
- Acquire feedback from local rehabilitation site to continuously improve Pixium’s rehabilitation process
- Editorial writing of Pixium’s Rehabilitation Handbook
- Communication with international rehabilitation experts
- Advise clinical staff in using Pixium devices and following clinical procedures
- Support the execution of clinical trials at Pixium and in clinical sites.
- Technical support for device tuning and re-education at clinical sites
- Supervision of psychophysical device testing.
- Liaison between R&D, physicians and healthcare professionals.
- Managing the entry of data into the clinical database in accordance with Good Clinical Practices,
- Documentation of deviations and adverse events,
- Interfaces and collaborate with Investigators and Bionic Vision Experts
- Advising on the design and use of the clinical database,
- Assist in analysis of clinical data and writing reports, protocols, and clinical trial files
- Write and administer clinical standard operating procedures,
- Provision of documents to support Regulatory Submissions
- Assist sales after approval of the devices.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in the field of blindness and low vision rehabilitation (ideally experienced with visual prosthesis)
- Technical understanding
- Very good communication skills (written and verbal) in English, and preferably other European languages.
