Peak is looking for a QA Lead who will manage, grow and guide the Peak QA Team.

This is a 50:50 role where you will be both responsible for the day-to-day activities of the QA team members, scheduling and managing ongoing testing activities while being hands-on. Your input will influence our product development, from the requirements gathering stage to deployment. You will work within a collaborative team who are all dedicated to creating a world-class product and user experience.

 

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Own and drive the quality of the Peak Brain Training app, enhancing the QA Team’s knowledge and ensure full-stack testing
  • Develop, enact, and manage testing schedules, ensuring that the QA team meets expectations and deadlines
  • Provide technical guidance to the team to test and automate new features and regression test cases, including UI and API suites
  • Work with the product stakeholders on ensuring features are released on time with quality up to our standards
  • Collaborate with the Tech Leads during sprint planning and provide metrics on testing progress
  • Lead coordinating bug fixes and software enhancements with the development teams
  • Mentor the QA team members, taking ownership of their professional and personal development in accordance with Peak’s career path framework
  • Maintain detailed documentation related to the software testing procedures and best practises
  • Be responsible for identifying risks and working with the product managers to ensure critical and high-risk items are prevented prior to release
  • Be a trusted partner for senior management to determine the best solutions, help drive alignment and implement decisions throughout your team
  • Generate and provide quality and performance metrics for your area/application requirements

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • 4+ years of experience as a software QA tester or similar role.
  • Experience managing and growing teams
  • Experience in mobile QA testing on iOS and Android native applications.
  • In-depth knowledge of or experience using JIRA to record and track bugs.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (i.e. Appium)
  • A solid understanding of mobile apps and the underlying technology behind them.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively (verbal and written) with your team members and other stakeholders
  • Think out of the box to uncover issues during the development phase. The goal will be to catch the issues before they catch us.
  • Experience documenting test plans using a test case management system (i.e. XRay).
  • Passionate about gaming and mobile apps.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Computer Science or related degree
  • Experience with deployment using CI tools (e.g. Jenkins, Bitrise etc).
  • Practical use of Postman and Charles Proxy for API and proxy checks.
  • Experience with A/B testing framework (i.e. Apptimize)
