Research Intern – Part time

Neurable is seeking a part time, local Research Intern to help us accelerate innovations in the field of brain-computer interfaces starting as soon as January 2021 and ending May 2021, with the possibility of extending into the summer.

Responsibilities for this position include experiment setup, execution, and data collection.

Ideal candidates are passionate about neurotechnology and motivated to contribute to advancements in human-computer interaction. If that sounds like you, then we would love to meet.

What you will do and learn

• Perform routine experiments in Neurable’s lab or in partnership with partner companies
• Follow study protocol and report feedback on the process
• Record data, summarize, and analyze results
• Maintain experimental instruments and evaluate new technology
• Discuss progress of work regularly with supervisor

About you

• Highly organized, detail oriented, and communicate proactively without close supervision
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Fast learner with initiative and willingness to learn new things, test new techniques, and experiment
• Self-motivated problem solver

The ideal candidate will have

• Basic understanding of behavioral research
• Familiarity neuroimaging techniques: EEG/EMG/ECoG/fNIRS/MRI
• Some experience with Python

Requirements:

• 20 – 30 hours per week
• Travel to Downtown Boston office location
• Strong interpersonal skills
