To further our company mission, Calm now provides personalized, evidence-based health & wellness coaching to complement our digital experience. Calm Coaches partner with our Members to build their resilience through improved sleep, reduced stress, and greater mindfulness.

We are a group of veterans in the digital health coaching industry who have built and scaled coaching operations at Ginger, Omada, and Verily. We believe in the power of human connection and the 1:1 relationship between a Coach and Member being an important catalyst for behavior change. As such, our Calm Coaches offer coaching through live video sessions to engage members and support them in reaching their goals.

Outcomes

  • Deliver evidence-based coaching focused on building human resilience through improved sleep, reduced stress, and greater mindfulness
  • Build rapport and deliver an impactful, member-focused experience virtually through video chat
  • Lead with humility and genuine curiosity to understand the needs of our members and help them reach their goals
  • Actively provide feedback and insights to our product team, helping to shape the program and member experience
  • Deliver sessions in a professional manner, representative of Calm’s values
  • Adhere to coaching guidelines, protocols and procedures
  • Maintain records and notes accurately and succinctly
  • Proficiently access, maintain, and protect PHI

 

Competencies

  • MA degree in behavioral health or psychology related field and/or a coaching certification from an accredited training program (NBC-HWC or ICF approved)
  • Minimum of 1 year relevant coaching experience incorporating evidence-based practices such as CBT, MBSR, SDT, MI, and ACT
  • Experience with virtual (video-based) coaching and/or digital health strongly preferred but not required
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and maintain a growth mindset
  • Experience with a mindfulness-based practice in both personal and professional life preferred
  • Highly developed skill sets with regard to reflective listening, rapport building, motivational interviewing, establishing trust, and modeling empathy
  • Ability to present information clearly and effectively when speaking with others
  • Contribute to program development, implementation, and evaluation with an openness to receiving and providing constructive feedback
  • Culturally responsive, open to and capable of working with diverse populations
