PHD STUDENT POSITION TO THE INSTITUTE FOR COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE
The Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience offers a 3-year position for a PhD student in the field of cognitive neuroscience in healthy and clinical populations. The position is available immediately at the Laboratory of Neuroeconomics https://www.hse.ru/en/cdm-centre/neuroeconomics in collaboration with the International Laboratory of Social Neurobiology (LCN) https://neuro.hse.ru/en/ilsn/, and the CDM Cognitive Control, Communication and Perception research group (https://www.hse.ru/en/cdm-centre/cccp). The candidate is invited to join the multidisciplinary team of the RSF project dedicated to the multimodal imaging study (MRI, MEG, EEG) of Cognitive function in children with motor disorders (https://www.hse.ru/en/cdm-centre/sc_projects/), in close collaboration with Dr. Anna Shestakova (https://www.hse.ru/en/org/persons/96086247), Dr. Beatriz Bermúdez-Margaretto (https://www.hse.ru/en/org/persons/217030229), Prof. Iiro P. Jääskeläinen (https://www.hse.ru/en/org/persons/324913417) and Prof. Yury Shtyrov (https://www.hse.ru/en/org/persons/123199881). PhD students will be enrolled in the HSE Doctoral School (Moscow). We expect high-quality empirical research and publication activities from our employees. The salaries are internationally competitive.
The Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience (https://neuro.hse.ru/en/) is a vibrant multicultural unit of HSE with an international environment and dynamic working conditions. The unit is located in the historical city center of Moscow. The working language is English. The Centre is equipped with the cutting-edge methodologies (MEG, EEG, TMS, TSE, FNIRS… https://www.hse.ru/en/cdm-centre/facilities). f/MRI is also available at the partner institution’s site.
General requirements for the PhD post:
- Background in Neuroscience, Psychology, Linguistics or other related fields
- Motivation to specialise in cognitive neuroscience, neurobiology, signal processing, neuroimaging
- Interest in clinical research and applied problems of neuroscience
- Fluent oral and written English
