JOB SUMMARY

The In Vitro Pharmacology Research Associate will be a key member of the team charged with cell line development and maintenance for in vitro assays. Candidates must have a biology background and an extensive experience in tissue culture techniques. This role will be responsible for the majority the tissue culture work of the group. Experience with molecular biology, GPCR signaling and in in vitro pharmacology is a plus. Successful candidates must be able to work effectively both in a collaborative setting and independently and possess outstanding written, visual and oral communications skills. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performing transfections
  • Single clone selection to establish stable cell lines
  • Cell line validation – target expression and function
  • Maintaining cell stocks
  • Primary cell culture

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

You must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related field
  • Lab experience in molecular biology including cloning techniques and qPCR
  • Commitment to detailed study design and data organization
Additional preferred experience includes:
  • Developing plasmid constructs for target functional expression
  • Experience in in vitro study design, preferably techniques involving cell-based assays for GPCR and Channel
  • Expertise in biochemical assays
  • Experience working with pluripotent stem cells
  • Compilation of results into comprehensive reports
