The increased accessibility and diversity of biometric sensors is changing the world of research within areas such as healthcare and psychology. Do you want to be part of an international team in central Copenhagen developing our market-leading biometric research platform?
At iMotions we are working on our new Mobile Research Platform, which allows researchers to run studies ‘in the wild’. It is a modular system that can integrate a variety of sensors built into your smartphone as well as wearables. The platform gives researchers around the world access to real-time data and easy data collection. We provide insight into human emotions and psychological responses otherwise not accessible through more traditional research methods and study experiments such as surveys and focus groups. You can read more about the platform in our blog.
We are looking for a software engineer with full stack mobile application development experience for Android, including collecting sensor data. Experience with iOS development is a bonus. The Mobile Platform is developed by a tight-knit team of three other developers that focus primarily on the web back end and front end, although we share common tasks such as DevOps, requirements engineering, and bug fixing. We expect the right candidate to be able to work both independently and collaborate closely with the rest of the team.
You will be working on our new product incorporating data collection on mobile phones into our existing biometric research platform. You will work on a mobile application for Android which collects data from built-in and external sensors (e.g., GPS, bluetooth devices) and questionnaires.
We currently use the following technologies:
- Kotlin (Multiplatform)
- Jetpack Compose
- SQLite
- Ktor / OkHttp
- Gradle / Azure Pipeline & Azure Artifacts
