Job description

NextMind is seeking engineers to write software that communicates in real-time with the brain. As part of the Data Science team, you will be in charge of developing ML and deep learning algorithms applied to neurophysiological signals. You will also be tasked with integrating these algorithms in the current signal processing chain, producing optimized code capable of running in real-time on a closed-loop brain-machine interface. You will work with neuroscientists, computer scientists and electrical engineers to design, test and deploy new types of brain-machine interfaces geared to the mass market.

 

Preferred experience

  • You graduated from a Grande Ecole, holding a PhD or Master’s degree in AI/ML/Neuroscience/Computer Science;
  • You have Minimum 4 years experience as a data scientist or R&D centered role;
  • You have a strong understanding of engineering first principles;
  • You have experience writing software that interacts with real-time systems;
  • You are proficient with Python and ML libraries (PyTorch, Scikit-learn, etc).
  • You are a cross-disciplinary team member. You are excited to work with and learn from software, mechanical, electrical, materials, and neuroscientists. You are comfortable communicating across teams.
