Total Brain is offering a unique Statistician position, working on research and product development for this platform. Your role involves a broad range of research, product content and data analysis activities, including:

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Advanced analysis of very large database data for novel research into the relationship between different aspects of cognition, emotional functioning and mental wellness (including questionnaire, cognitive performance, psychophysiological and genomic data).
  • Work on world-first analyses evaluating patterns of brain training that lead to improvements in cognitive and emotional well-being.
  • Data analysis to support internal R&D projects and product development.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team from a range of academic, corporate and software development backgrounds.
  • Regularly report to and work with management and will need to be highly skilled in distilling complicated results and communicating any challenges. Authorship opportunities on selected papers will also be available.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience with statistical analysis software (at least intermediate level): R is a must have
  • Training or experience in cognitive psychology or cognitive neuroscience, along with passion for Cognitive neuroscience, psychology and wellbeing
  • Strong statistical data analysis, scientific research and writing skills
  • Experience with very large datasets or databases
  • Graduate degree with Honours in Psychology or Neuroscience (or equivalent), with at least 5 years post-graduate experience or equivalent post-graduate degree
  • Expertise in applying problem-solving skills and finding solutions
