Postdoctoral Fellow in Human Intracranial Neuroscience of Olfactory Perception

The Brain Modulation Laboratory (www.brainmodulationlab.org), within the Department of Neurosurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School, is recruiting a highly motivated and outstanding candidate to advance a funded project exploring the neural dynamics of olfactory perception in humans. The successful candidate will work on a highly interdisciplinary team, studying olfactory evoked responses in brain recordings from awake neurosurgery patients, to advance the goal of generating and restoring olfactory perceptions in humans by direct stimulation of olfactory centers in the brain. Direct supervision is provided by the PI Mark Richardson, MD, PhD, Director of Functional Neurosurgery at MGH.

Requirements include:

  • experience in electrophysiology/signal processing, especially intracranial electrophysiology or olfactory/sensory perception related expertise,
  • strong background in computational neuroscience, and
  • solid publication record.

Interested applicants should send a cover letter and CV to mark.richardson@mgh.harvard.edu.
