There are multiple master and Ph.D. positions available in the fields of visual neuroscience at the Sabancı University in Istanbul starting in March 2021.

The positions offer interdisciplinary work and competitive stipend for graduate students. I am looking for a bright, self-motivated, independent graduate to join exciting projects about motion perception.

Responsibilities include:

• Designing and programming behavioral and EEG experiments
• Collecting and analyzing behavioral and EEG data
• Writing papers & applying for grants

Ph.D. candidates should have at least a Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuroscience, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. Good programming skills in MATLAB or Python and experience in neuroscience research will be a plus.

To apply, submit a transcript, CV, and a brief motivation letter. The motivation letter should include a summary of your current and past research experiences. Please also include your TOEFL/IELTS result, if you already have one, as well as the names of 3 referees. Knowing Turkish is not required.

Istanbul is a vibrant city known for its world-famous food, diverse culture, history, and nightlife. Sabancı University is located 15-20 min. away from Sabiha Gökçen airport. All the major European and Eastern cities, also Turkey’s Mediterranean shore, are easily reachable.
