“KD2School: Designing Adaptive Systems for Economic Decisions”
Research Program
With its main focus on the design of adaptive IT-based systems for supporting economic decision-making in dynamically changing contexts, KD2School covers six research areas at the intersection of psychology, IT-technology, and economic institutions: (i) fundamentals of cognitive systems and neurosciences, (ii) individual decisions in everyday activities, (iii) decision-making in digital team work environments, (iv) group decisions in online participation, (v) the boundaries of adaptation and addiction potentials, (vi) linked laboratory infrastructures.
We Offer
At Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), University of Bremen and Justus-Liebig University Giessen up to 12 doctoral positions for the areas (i) to (iv) and 2 post-doctoral positions for the areas (v) and (vi) are available, ideally starting October 1st, 2021, limited to 36 months.
With four cutting-edge laboratories KD2Lab, CSLab, fMRI-Lab, DecIS-Lab, KD2School offers access to excellent facilities, attractive workplaces, diverse and responsible tasks, a wide scope of advanced training options, and flexible working time models.
All scholars are supervised by an interdisciplinary team of at least two highly qualified professors providing their complementary expertise, infrastructure, and networks. Scholars are encouraged to grow their skills and networks by visiting partner and other world-renowned institutions for extended research stays.
You Provide
Successful candidates should have completed their master studies (or complete them very soon) in the fields of computer science, economics, information systems, management, psychology, or related fields. Opportunities for qualification scholarships for candidates with other related backgrounds and/or study degrees are also available.
