Permanent and full-time Computer Vision Scientist position in Switzerland
Our startup INAIT, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, is seeking a permanent and full-time Computer Vision Scientist. Are you interested in supporting both our research and product teams with insights gained from analyzing complex datasets? Then come join us!

Major duties and responsibilities:
- Apply state of the art machine learning and deep learning techniques to create and improve computer vision algorithms.
- Conduct and apply computer vision research for semantic segmentation, instance segmentation and anomaly detection in videos and still images.
- Conduct and apply computer vision research in reconstruction and semantic understanding of 3-dimensional real-world scenes.
- Contribute production level code to INAIT software stack.
- Provide detailed analysis and presenting results in a clear manner.
Requirements
Essential experience required:
- Developing and optimizing machine learning models using frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, … in python.
- 3D reconstruction algorithms (e.g. SFM, MVS, and SLAM) and various 3D representations (e.g. pointclouds, meshes, implicit functions, neural representations)
- Software development life-cycle including unit testing, continuous integration, version control, debugging and documentation
Essential skills:
- Robust analytical, mathematical and statistical skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
- Strong drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Fluent communication in English (written and spoken)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to work both independently and in team-based environments
Preferred:
- Established publication record at well-known computer vision and machine learning conferences (e.g. CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, etc.)
- PhD in mathematics, engineering, computer science or equivalent with 3+ years of experience in computer vision/machine learning.
- Successful track record in designing, developing and maintaining software projects
- Previous experience in deploying cv or ml algorithms on devices.
- Expert knowledge in fundamental mathematics and statistics used in machine learning methods
