Position Description:

The UCI Department of Biomedical Engineering in the Henry Samueli School of Engineering is anticipating openings in neuroengineering under the direction of Professor Gregory J. Brewer.

The department is seeking applicants who are interested in the following areas:

• Decoding information processing from live rat neuronal networks in culture
  Requires a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, computer science or neurophysiology with experience in Matlab coding, time-series analysis, processing data from electrode arrays. Remote work possible with sufficient computer resources.
• The cell biology of the age-related basis of Alzheimer’s disease

Requires a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, cell biology, fluorescence imaging or bioenergetics with experience in fluorescence imaging, analysis, bioenergetics, epigenetics, cell culture and mouse animal handling.

This is an ongoing recruitment and positions are dependent upon availability of extramural funding. Renewal is based on job performance and availability of support. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and years of experience.
