Artinis is hiring a Design Engineer who is enthusiastic and driven for innovative biomedical device development and wearables. As a design engineer, you will explore ideas and possibilities for manufactured products and test your solutions in accordance with project briefings, schedules, and established objectives. You will define and develop biomedical products and associated products following product requirements, considering all characteristics of the design (form, function, interface, ergonomic shapes, interaction, color & trim, materials, cost, fit, durability, safety, etc.). You will be joining the design team of the research and development group and strongly collaborating with other disciples such as electrical, biomedical, and software engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for the industrial design of our biomedical and sport products
  • Create and develop new products & extensions based on our core technology
  • Bridge the gap between design, technology, and user experience
  • 3D modeling, product, and usability engineering
  • Translate a concept into a product that is ready for production
  • Work independently within different multidisciplinary project teams, being responsible for the product design development, and able to switch between simultaneously ongoing projects easily
  • Design on requests by customers and expand your knowledge about the user
  • Maintain contact with suppliers

 

Qualifications:

  • You have a background as an Industrial Designer or a similar education on an HBO or WO level
  • A minimum of 3 years of industrial design experience
  • You possess the ability to think innovatively
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experienced in coaching, supervising, and guiding colleagues
  • You are enthusiastic, flexible, and can function properly in a multidisciplinary team
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and excellent visualization skills in 2D and 3D
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English
  • You like to work in an experimental environment, performing hands-on experiments
  • Strong organization and guiding skills, who knows how to motivate team members
  • Positive attitude, can-do mentality, and flexibility
  • Curious, creative, and inventive
