Are you the type of person who is driven by development has the affinity to lead a small design team? We are hiring a motivated Lead Industrial Designer.

Artinis is a group of young, vibrant people of 18 different nationalities. With a team of five designers, you will work on multidisciplinary projects. You will be part of the design team and research & development group. You shall be the person to contact with the design hurdles, therefore you need strong collaboration skills with your team and people from other disciplines as electronics engineers, software engineers, sales/support, and graphic designers.

Key Responsibilities:

• You are responsible for the design team and our smart sensors
• Contribute to 3D modelling, usability, and ergonomics
• Translate ideas and concepts to products
• Knowledge of new opportunities within your discipline, and using these trends to innovate
• Design on the request of customers, and expand your knowledge about the user
• Collaborate effectively with various project team members such as project leaders, quality engineering, operations, regulatory affairs, marketing, etc.

Qualifications:

• Relevant Industrial Design education with an education degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience
• Portfolio to visually showcase your experience
• Experience with the user and technology-driven development process
• Experience in coaching and guiding colleagues
• Strong conceptual and ideation skills
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and excellent visualization skills in 2D and 3D
• Proficiency in Adobe software is a plus (e.g. Adobe Xd)
• Business level English (Dutch is a plus)
• Like to work in an experimental environment performing hands-on experiments
• Clear communication, can-do mentality, resistance to stress, and flexible
• Strong organization and guiding force, who knows how to motivate team members.
