We are seeking an innovative and skilled human-computer interaction engineer with 3-6 years of experience to join our team. This role involves pioneering a groundbreaking framework that integrates neuroadaptive technology with diverse human-computer interaction (HCI) modalities and techniques. The successful candidate will help conceptualise, design, and implement a comprehensive, general framework that adapts to and learns from human neural responses, enhancing user experience across various known and unknown applications.

As such, the successful candidate will apply their expert knowledge of both human psychology and interactive systems to, among other things,

  • develop of a neuroadaptive HCI framework from conception to implementation in computer code,
  • conduct extensive research into existing HCI and adaptive systems,
  • collaborate with experts in different fields, including neuroscience, computer science, and machine learning,
  • generate mathematical models of human-computer interactions,
  • implement computational versions of the models capable of real-time updating, and tests and validates them for particular use cases,
  • identify key use cases of emerging neuroadaptive capabilities,
  • design and execute experiments to test and refine the framework, and
  • stay abreast of the latest developments in HCI, neuroadaptive technology, and related fields.

Job requirements
