This is the Second global annual NeuroTechX Hackathon. The hackathon will take place over the first weekend of December. The event is free and open to the public. The aim is to engage and bring together people from various backgrounds to speculate on possible use-cases of Neurotechnology and Brain-Computer Interfaces [BCI].

For participants with prior hands-on experience working with neurotechnology, computational neuroscience, hardware, and BCI’s at any scale. Tracks are placed to make sure everyone is on the same track, this will ensure likeminded & similarly experienced participants engage in the best context possible.

With the support of industry partners such as IDUN Technologies and other sponsors, the NTX Hackathon Team has prepared a Data Challenge for all the brave out there. This track is for everyone with a background in data procesessing, analysis, cleaning, filtering, amplifying, etc.

This track is for everyone whether a designer, dreaming about a design for an eeg headset, or a policy-maker, or a social scientist interested in neuroethics, or an enterprenuer with a brilliant idea for the next thing neurotech. This track aims at maximum exngagement & correct allocation of skill for best outcome and outreach.

We have added this track to make sure we cover as much landscape as possible. This is a track to speculate on the present future of neuro-ethics, how we regulate and deal with neurotechnology at the scale of data acquisision, protection, and all other sides.

Schedule (all times CET)

10.30 – Briefing Session

  • Walk-through a quick background, NTX, the hackathon, last year’s experience, etc.
  • Community invitation, an intoduction to NTX Chapters and Initiatives
  • A crashcourse on Neurotechnology, BCIs, and whats happening around us.

11.30 – Team Setup

  • Meet and Greet – Team building
  • Individuals who do not manage to setup a team will be supported by the hackathon Organizing team

12.30 – Action Starts

  • Ideate, discuss, and create the most awesome project.
    • A line-up of amazing speakers will be on back-to-back interventions throughout the day.

10.30 – Keep Going

15.30 – Project Delivery

  • A Slide-deck of 5 slides ( supplied by Hackathon team )
  • An optional 1-minute pitch video presenting the project.

16.30 – Jury Panel

  • Jury will evaluate the projects, and select winners and other mentions.
  • A Closing keynote in the meantime

17.30 – Award Ceremony
