Primary Role

This position will work with an inter-disciplinary team of physicians, research and data scientists and software developers to disrupt the current approaches to treating mental health conditions leveraging innovative machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques. The person in this position will help craft statistical analysis plans for clinical trials and oversee and perform statistical analyses of crossover, open label, and randomized trials.

 

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Work with investigators to formalize analysis plans, advise on statistical analysis strategies, and interpretation and presentation of statistical results
  • Write Statistical Analysis Plans and conduct power analyses for future trials
  • Assist in the preparation of clinical trial documents and reports, protocols, brochures, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and responses to requests from regulatory agencies
  • Use advanced statistical software, methods, and techniques to analyze and interpret clinical data; advise and assist in the development of conclusions (as appropriate)
  • Stay apprised of best practices in clinical trials analysis, as well as best practices for sensitivity analyses
  • Collaborate with other data scientists as well as clinical experts to ideate and solve complex issues pertinent to data ingestion/curation, modality integration, model performance, model generalization.
  • Document code, results, and details of the approaches in a thorough and systematic way in order to promote knowledge sharing and code re-use.
  • Research and recommend new and innovative approaches to analyzing complex data sets to advance mental health research objectives.
  • Present research findings to internal leadership and stakeholders.
  • Other duties and projects as determined by the CDSO

 

Qualifications:

  • Master or PhD degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, or other quantitative fields with strong applied analysis experience
  • 3+ years of clinical trials experience
  • Excellent understanding of longitudinal modeling
  • Experience with causal inference
  • Experience with sensitivity analyses for missing data
  • Experience in developing and writing Statistical Analysis Plans
  • Expertise with common statistical software programs such as SAS, Stata, and R
  • A team player focused first on the company mission
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
