About the role

We are hiring for a Business Development Representative to support our Sales team’s continued growth on our journey to transform the Senior Living Industry. Reporting to our Director of Operations, this role will be a critical addition to our team to help drive top-of-funnel lead generation for Account Executives & Sales Leaders. You will work closely with our leadership team to source, qualify, and build relationships with potential customers. These roles provide a perfect opportunity for self-motivated, numbers-driven, sales-oriented individuals who are looking to grow their careers and continue to help millions of seniors live more fulfilled lives.

 

What you will be working on

  • Lead Generation: Proactively contacting potential customers in the Senior Living industry through various channels including cold calling, email campaigns, and creative outreach strategies.
  • Sales Growth: Contributing directly to sales growth by scheduling appointments between qualified potential customers and our account executives
  • Lead Qualification: Scoring and qualifying potential new business leads to predict the likelihood that prospects will convert to customers.
  • Market Research: Conducting extensive market research to understand the Senior Living industry in substantial detail to help identify more qualified leads and opportunities for expansion.
  • Business Development Tracking: Performing ongoing tracking and reporting on business development initiatives to identify successful campaigns and opportunities for improvement. 
  • CRM Management: Ensuring our CRM database (Hubspot) is updated and maintained on a consistent basis.
  • Documentation & Processes: Helping enhance our sales playbook and documenting best practices for success.

What you bring

  • Previous start-up experience
    • You’ve worked at a company in a similar stage to Welbi (18 full-time employees, Seed stage) before. We’re not saying you need years and years of experience, but understanding the current phase we’re in is critical to success.
  • Previous BDR/Lead Generation/Cold Outreach experience
    • You’ve done this job before (at least for a bit). A little BDR experience goes a very long way. We’re looking for folks who can come and hit the ground running. 
  • Exceptional Interpersonal Skills
    • You’re a great communicator with high emotional intelligence, capable of empathetically articulating technical content to make it easily understandable.
  • Customer-Centric Curiosity 
    • You’ve consistently demonstrated curiosity, a solution-oriented mindset, and a drive to understand the needs and priorities of potential customers.
  • Phenomenal communication skills in English
    • You have proven skills in writing, speaking, and listening to a wide array of diverse stakeholders.
  • A get s*** done approach to work
    • You have the grit and focus to persevere through challenges and go the extra mile to make sure things get done.
  • Continuous Improvement Mindset
    • You don’t settle for ‘good enough’ and are constantly looking for ways to improve everything you do.
  • Proven Critical Thinking & Problem-solving skills
    • You’re able to identify & solve complex issues with limited resources and have a track record of making well-informed, data-driven decisions while navigating complex challenges.
  • Experience as an individual contributor or other self-starting capacity
    • You’re able to execute with limited supervision or resources and have the ability to succeed in a start-up environment
  • Collaborative Approach
    • You’re a great team player and thrive at fostering a collaborative work environment, valuing diverse perspectives, and actively contributing to a harmonious team dynamic.
