Our Opportunity:

The Service Coordinator is responsible for administrative duties that ensure all technical customer service requirements are satisfied. This position is critical to customer support and reports to the Director, Field Service.

 

Your Contributions:

The responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer cover the full range of activities required to maintain Neuronetics’ NeuroStar™ systems. These systems are computer-based, precision, electromechanical medical devices that require specialized technical knowledge for routine maintenance and troubleshooting. Overall responsibilities include but not limited to the following:

  • Trouble Shooting Provide in-depth system, software, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting. Provide a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.
  • Service Calls Provide phone and on-site technical support for customers to minimize down time.
  • Preventive Maintenance Responsible for developing Preventive Maintenance Schedule and performing all inspections within 30 days of the scheduled completion date.
  • Documentation Maintains all support documentation to include NetSuite reports, User Manual sections at customer sites, Service Manuals, Service bulletins, parts list, and service portal.
  • Logistics Forecast and maintain field stock. Return defective parts within one week of removal from instrument.
  • Expenses Maintains all expenses in accordance with company policy. Seeks opportunities to reduce Field Service costs by combining trips and resolving customer issues remotely.
  • Instrument Development Supports instrument development to include serviceability & reliability. Communicates customer recommendations to marketing and product development
  • Product Quality Quickly identify product problems in the field and communicate this information to headquarters Engineering & QA staff. Participate in root cause analysis and statistical analysis of field quality problems

Success will be measured by meeting customer satisfaction goals, product field quality and uptime goals.

Education and Experience:

  • AS in Technology or equivalent
  • 3-5 years senior product support experience
  • 5-7 years experience with complex, software-based electromechanical medical device products
  • Experience managing Field Service Territory

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with returned goods and refurbishment best practices
  • Experience in a start-up environment
  • Familiarity with QSR and ISO 13485 is highly desirable

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking/Bending/Stooping 20%
  • Lifting Requirements 70lbs
  • Travel by air, rail, auto (90% of time)
