TRU LUV’s Insights Lead will help us better understand ourselves, our audience and our communities as we take this journey. You will be instrumental in creating a new kind of insights lab drawing on qualitative and quantitative analysis and optimizing for love. You will help us measure and create impact at scale, helping people and their communities. With your team, you will architect and build our data infrastructure. You will design and use data analysis tools that ensure our data’s scalability, accuracy and accessibility. You will join us in Toronto and collaborate with team members in Montreal and around the world. You will work with our designers, community team, programmers and our executive team to support our vision for rituals and emotionally conscious AI.

This role is an opportunity to become a subject matter expert in a new paradigm for tech companies and human-computer interaction and to work closely with Jane McGonigal, Tom Gruber and Brie Code.

YOUR WORK DAY MIGHT LOOK LIKE:

• Working with our executive team to define and track impact indicators drawing on data from our internal team, our lab and our audience
• Working with our lead designer and the rest of our design team to establish and refine our shared vision for rituals and emotionally conscious AI
• Working with our design team to design measurable internal rituals and pipelines for optimizable emergent content creation
• Discovering actionable insights about the way our rituals help people internally, in our lab and among our audience
• Working with our community team to look for product and community optimizations to best serve our audience
• Making decisions about data architecture and data governance with support from our technical lead
• Building our insights lab and team, combining qualitative and quantitative analysis in new ways
• Designing and analyzing experiments in conjunction with designers and psychologists to inform and measure the impact of design decisions
• Finding answers to our team’s questions via hands-on exploration of data sets using SQL, dashboards, statistical analysis, and data visualizations
• Investigating high-level curiosities like “What are the collective patterns of people using the altar in #SelfCare?”
• Evaluating and designing tools and platforms for data workflow
• Establishing and documenting best practices
• Managing and mentoring our technical team and helping them develop their self-leadership, peer mentorship and technical skills
• Creating and maintaining a diverse, transformational and emergent team culture that foster group intelligence and group resonance
• Reporting to our CEO what has felt resonant, what has felt dissonant and what new opportunities have presented themselves

ABILITIES YOU BRING TO TRU LUV:

• 3+ years of proven leadership ability
• 5+ years of demonstrated experience in generating insights to drive technical product development and decision-making resulting in significant business impact
• Expertise in statistical methods and experimental design and analysis and ability to apply this expertise in an impact framework
• Background in advanced statistical modeling (e.g. GLM, mixed effects) and/or machine learning
• A degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, computer science or equivalent
• Ability to work at a strategic and planning level while supporting day-to-day details and operations
• Exceptional organization and communication skills
• Experience leading in a fast-changing and growing environment
• Experience identifying and creating new technical processes and balancing workflow needs of multiple stakeholders

• Telemetry collection for Unity and C#
• Python, Spark, AWS cloud infrastructure, game data analytics
• Best practices for diverse teams
• Conscious self-leadership and transformational peer mentorship
• Emergent systems
• A knowledge of self-care practices including those inspired by contemporary witchcraft
• A knowledge of tend-and-befriend and other psychological frameworks for ritual design

• Curious, self-motivated, and can help mentor a WFH team under minimal supervision
• Interested in seeking out new techniques and ideas related to tend-and-befriend, love consciousness, transformational mentorship, emergence and pro-social interactions in the games and app industries
