Neuroscience Group has a Full Time 40 hour per week position available for a team-oriented Patient Access Team Lead. This position will typically work Monday Friday (days may vary) 8 hours per day. In collaboration with practice administration, operations, area manager, and other team leads, efficiently and effectively lead, manage, and be accountable for our Scheduling Coordinator(s), New Patient Intake Coordinator(s), and Physical Therapy Intake / Prior Authorization teams. In this role, the Team Lead will coach and develop the assigned team to greater success through process improvement and skills development, and will promote, support, and work toward delivery of superior patient service. This is a working Lead role. Position includes working approximately 50% of time physically doing the work of the team.

For thirty years, Neuroscience Group has provided excellent neurologic care for the Fox Valley and Northeast Wisconsin. Ours is the only medical facility in the area that combines neurosurgery, neurology, orthopedic spine surgery, interventional and non-interventional pain management, and physical therapy. Our practice has grown to over 40 providers and serves patients in nine outlying clinics scattered throughout the region. Responsibilities:

  • Work collaboratively with Manager of Patient Access, Patient Access Team Lead(s), and other members of NSG leadership toward continuous improvement.
  • Measure and monitor scheduling accuracy and efficient provider schedule usage, and identify opportunities to improve and strengthen scheduling practices.
  • Measure and monitor overall team, and individual team member, performance effectively to support practice targets.
  • Foster a strong team culture to support and facilitate individual, team and practice success. Strive for and maintain a high level of employee satisfaction and morale.
  • Coach and develop individuals and team to highest level of personal and team performance in line with practice targets.
  • Coach and develop team toward superior customer relations to support the image and good will of the practice with all customer groups.
  • Identify and execute on training and development opportunities for team and self that will result in long-term, high-level performance.
  • Formulate and implement operational processes, in collaboration with appropriate other departments, to meet and/or improve practice standards.
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding appropriate staffing for teams to achieve performance targets.
  • Take a lead role in the interview, performance assessment and grievance/discipline processes with the Manager of Patient Access and/or the Director of Human Resources and have input into the hiring/dismissal process.
  • Design and deliver new team member orientation and training.

 

Knowledge Required:

  • An Associate Degree or higher in business or related field. Experience in lieu of degree will be considered.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in management required.
  • Prior experience in healthcare preferred.
