Summary

The laboratory of Dr. Andreas Tolias in the Department of Neuroscience at Baylor College of Medicine is seeking research associates at the level of postdoctoral fellows or at the level of Research Assistant Professors. The research associates will work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary research team aimed at understanding the structure, function and computations of neocortical microcircuits and to decipher the canonical algorithms they implement. The specific goals of the research associates for these positions will be to use Patch-seq and multi-patching methods to study the logic of cell type diversity in the neocortex and map out the circuit diagram of the neocortex at the level of cell types across cortical areas and species. The fellows will work closely within an exciting collaborative team combining unique expertise in single cell RNA-sequencing, Patch-seq, multi-patching electrophysiology, functional multi-photon imaging, machine learning and computational neuroscience.
