R&D Process Engineer

Your Mission

INBRAIN Neuroelectronics is seeking for a R&D Process Engineer to join our manufacturing team. ​

The role of the R&D ​Process Engineer is to implement research results and new knowledge onto the production processes. A R&D Process Engineer plans and executes development activities, with the aim of creating new products and technologies and improving the existing ones. Specifically, the job will be focused on the development of materials and microfabrication thin film processes and techniques, being particularly dedicated to thin film microfabrication methods.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Rapidly assess multiple early-stage technological ideas for project viability
• Define and develop critical experiments to quickly assess the performance of early-stage ideas leveraging relevant models.
• Identify, plan and test process improvement strategies with high turnover.
• Identify opportunities for new technology development or alternative applications for existing technologies and products. 
• Take a data-driven approach to support the concept development work.
• Work closely with the development and microfabrication teams and other company members involved in development activities.
• Effectively collaborate with different teams, collecting their inputs and integrating them in the experimental strategy. 

Your Profile

• Scientific background
• Hands-on experience in cleanroom
• Knowledge of micro and nanofabrication processes
• Ph.D. in Physics, Physical Engineering, Materials Science, Electronics, or another relevant subject is a plus  
• Experience in thin film fabrication technique such as ALD, CVD, sputtering, etc. is highly desirable
• Experience in manufacturing processes and quality control for medical devices will be specially valued.
• Time management and organization skills
• A high-energy, self-motivated, and pro-active individual able to work in a diverse team.
• A flexible, service minded colleague with good analytical skills, reliable, pragmatic, and result oriented
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Fluency in English required (company language)
