Senior Software Engineer – Platform

At RapidAI, the Platform Engineering team builds the systems and infrastructure that power our award-winning technology across the globe.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us continue developing and scaling our AI-based image processing platform using cloud technologies.

Our fully-automated system is used by over 1,800 hospitals around the world and processes data for ⅓ of all stroke cases in the United States and a large number of stroke cases in other countries of the world, including Switzerland, Japan, Australia and Brazil.

Responsibilities

• Working with a small team of engineers to build new features for our image processing platform
• Collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, other Engineering teams and subject-matter experts to refine new feature ideas
• Taking ownership of your work through the entire development lifecycle.
• Troubleshooting and resolving faults in any environment (note: no routine on-call)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of general experience with at least one of our core languages (C++/Python/Javascript)
• 1+ years of experience with Linux server administration
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge of concurrent programming techniques
• Distributed systems design skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• A thirst for knowledge and desire to make a positive impact to humanity

Bonus skills

• AWS or similar cloud platforms
• Cyber-security
• Software-as-a-Medical-Device (SaMD) experience
• Medical image processing
• Deployment, performance tuning and monitoring of Keras/Tensorflow models
• Experience with DICOM or other medical data exchange protocols
