Software Engineer – Frontend

We are looking for a solid Frontend Software Engineer who is motivated to combine the art of design and the skill of software engineering. You will work with both front-end and back-end web/mobile developers to help build all client-side logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how our applications look and function.

Responsibilities

• Develop new user-facing featuresBuild reusable code and libraries for future use
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designsCooperate with web designers to match visual design intent
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholdersWrite well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Create a website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practicesIntegrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities

Skills & Qualifications

• GREAT understanding of Angular and Node.js and their quirks, and workarounds
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git Good knowledge of browser rendering behavior and performance, understanding cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around such issues
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• Master degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)
• 3+ years of software engineering experience
